GOALS & PROCEDURES

Canadian Network of International Reading Association Councils (CNIRAC) is a non-profit organization that connects the Provincial Associations, local reading councils, special interest councils and groups of the International Reading Association in Canada. The purpose CNIRAC is to provide communication and serve as a forum for discussion on Canadian literacy issues.

GOALS

The goals of the Canadian Network of IRA Councils are as follows:

  1. Serve as a network of communication among Canadian councils
  2. Enhance professional development in Canada
  3. Support and/or initiate advocacy on literacy issues in Canada
  4. Increase the visibility of provincial and local councils and IRA in Canada
  5. Promote Canadian membership and encourage active involvement of members in IRA
